Indiana Candidate Contact Outreach
Help us figure out where all the local candidates stand on carbon capture waste dump schemes that threaten our communities! We compiled a list of all the candidates and elected officials up for re-election this year, complete with all of their contact information for outreach. Once you’ve contacted a candidate, be sure to fill out the Response Form to let us know how the conversation went, and where they stand.
Indiana Candidate Outreach List
Sample message for candidates:
Hello, I am reaching out as an Indiana voter. I am concerned about risky carbon capture and storage (CCS) schemes taking place across our state. Can you please share what your position is on CCS?
If elected, will you support efforts to protect landowners and communities by prohibiting the use of eminent domain and integration to take the private property of Hoosiers for the development of carbon capture and storage projects?
And, if elected, will you uphold local control and the right of counties to enact ordinances that protect our communities from being taken advantage of by carbon capture corporations?
Thank you for your time.
While most legislators have taken a firm stance on carbon capture and storage issues, a few that are up for re-election have been wishy-washy, or have not been serving long enough to have a reliable vote record.
